Cafepress?

There is only one mini poster up there right now. I'm not exactly sure whether or not I can sell the game-related art on that site. They say no copyrighted characters, but since it is an original piece of work does it fall under the Creative Commons license? Is that immediately negated because money/profit is involved? I don't know, but if somebody actually ends up buying the Ludwig von Koopa mini poster and it's not deleted, then I'll throw up many more pictures on many more products.

I'm not trying to make money off of this. A number of people have emailed me in the past about selling prints and I had to turn them down. If people really want to throw my stuff up in their houses/offices, go crazy. I'm only marking the prices up a minimal amount to test the water. It keeps things cheap for you, the consumer, and makes me feel less like a whore.

If anybody has any better suggestions than Cafepress, let me know! I'm just trying to make the options available.

Personally I use Zazzle because the copyright rules on cafepress are a bit funky, but that really only pertains to original stuff. If you put game related prints on zazzle they'd probably get removed pretty quickly, though. Plus, with zazzle there's a fixed price and you make a certain percentage of the price, so you can't change it depending on how much you want to make.

Well if this works out I'd pay out the ass for "That Damn Sun."

I uploaded the Mario picture as a wall clock yesterday, and today I got an email saying both Ludwig and Mario could be in violation of CafePress' usage policies. I argued that since it's original work (and very stylized at that), it should fall under a parody piece, if anything, and therefore be legal. In the end, though, it really comes down to what they think is allowable content. So, I'll hear back from them within 24 hours.
Hopefully I can keep my work up there.
