Can't we all just get along?

I've made some new purchases lately.
I've had the Wii for a while, but the other two are new. I just figured I'd post some info in case anybody feels like gaming together.

This all seems so familiar.

I'm just checking on the general interest in me attempting to develop more original and recurring characters and ideas. As I am working on a commission for ComickPro, I realize I don't have any real characters or intellectual property to call my own. I'm probably most well known for my game parody work, and while that still does take a decent amount of creativity to "twist" it like I do, I don't think I've really been pushing myself conceptually for quite some time.
Some people here dig my artistic style and sense of humor, while others just like seeing familiar characters skewed.

So, I'd like to hear from anybody who actually bothers to read this.

What do you think? Stick with warping existing characters, or make more of an effort towards original creations?
If you don't care either way, feel free to just yell at me about sponges.

Edit: I should mention that, no, I'm not going to be changing anything significantly based on how people reply. I'm just seeing what people think of the situation. I'm still pretty much going to do whatever the hell I like. If there is any overwhelming interest one way or the other, I will acknowledge that and experiment in different ways.

Cafepress?

There is only one mini poster up there right now. I'm not exactly sure whether or not I can sell the game-related art on that site. They say no copyrighted characters, but since it is an original piece of work does it fall under the Creative Commons license? Is that immediately negated because money/profit is involved? I don't know, but if somebody actually ends up buying the Ludwig von Koopa mini poster and it's not deleted, then I'll throw up many more pictures on many more products.

I'm not trying to make money off of this. A number of people have emailed me in the past about selling prints and I had to turn them down. If people really want to throw my stuff up in their houses/offices, go crazy. I'm only marking the prices up a minimal amount to test the water. It keeps things cheap for you, the consumer, and makes me feel less like a whore.

If anybody has any better suggestions than Cafepress, let me know! I'm just trying to make the options available.

Appreciation

I just wanted to mention that while I very rarely comment or reply to messages, I do read every comment left to me, and I try to visit the pages of every person who watches me, leaves a comment, or favorites a picture.
I really am grateful for the feedback you people give and the overall appreciation for my work.
Without sounding too cheesy, thanks to all of you. Knowing people enjoy my work keeps me drawing, and I've still got a long way to go.

P.S. :iconeinsupercorgi: ~Einsupercorgi has been stalking me since I registered here. I'm just spreading the word of his work what little bit I can. I dig his particular brand of insanity, especially [link]

And away I go.
