Giant Sloth Concept by GaryStorkamp Giant Sloth Concept by GaryStorkamp
Update: A stronger design, but it's up in the air if he is going to be used in game.

This is an initial concept for one of the enemies, and probably the only small enemy for the prototype.
This will definitely change before he's considered done.

If you enjoy this piece, consider supporting the game project by following the dA group.
All you have to do is sit back and watch a game prototype get built from concept to completion.

I like it, bu, as has been said before, it's kind of obscure compared to other enemies. I think maybe its claws should drag on the ground, but that raises the question of wether or not the enemies get guns too.
Personally, I think you'd be better off using a Giant Bever or a Giant Anteater.

Similar to TheOutlander37's comment, I think he looks a bit generic, but I think that a lot of that is that unlike dinosaurs, the mammals it sounds like your using for enemies just aren't going to be as iconic. Off the top of my head, I think the only two mammals that you could get away with are Wooly Mammoths and Sabretooth Tigers, anything else may very well be to obscure, or too hard to make iconic for the average player to grasp.

To be honest. This just looks like a furry bear with large claws. Something to consider would be the Giant Ground Sloth's long anteater like tongue and curved hands and feet. They mostly walked on all fours aswell. Ideally as a concept you would want someone to beable to look at it and say: Thats a Giant Sloth. without you having to tell them even if it is a stylized version of such a creature.

Thanks for the honest feedback. Yeah, I'm definitely not convinced this is the best design yet. I'll consider your comment in the next iteration.

Well atleast you took the criticism well and your going to go at it again. That is the sign of a truely skilled artist.
